Room 13 has read Kermit the Hermit by Bill Peet. This fabulous story, by Bill Peet, s about a Hermit Crab who was greedy with nearly everything - he was mostly selfish about his possessions that he collected and kept in his castle of rocks in Monterey Bay. After he was nearly buried alive by a dog he was saved by a kind little boy. Kermit was so happy, and grateful he changed his ways and became thoughtful and kind. The lovely way he helped the boy and his family made us realise that people can change their ways. The message is about changing your behaviour if you choose to. The main character is an animal but we think the audience is ...US.
